Remember, looking fresh and staying fresh is a good start! :)

A Beautiful Face
Recently I have to indulge myself with a new collection of office wardrobe and yes, make up! I'm going to have my first job here and clearly, I'm a renewed individual coming from my past, present pleasures and escapades to my ever recently health findings.
So here's what I got and is really a great find. Simple yet its about it. You don't have to put on so much, which is why I always make the same statement over and over again when people address me I look pretty today, I'd say, "its just powder, blush and some gloss." But is it really only that.. I now have to evolve from the simple me, to a more sophisticated individual, since I have made a good remark with my power dressing, I have come to believe that I should pair it with a little eye make up. And yes, smokey for evening of course.
Here are what my great finds from SEPHORA, Villagio branch, Doha, Qatar. I believe I had a great buy, I had a cool ala LV Speedy giveaway bag in cobalt and some of their neat freebies as well..
NEVER forget to put on SUNBLOCK. Even if you don't get to be exposed directly, the fumes can still get into you, when you walk to the car park, when you ride the car, and just about the wind. So here's what I've been using for the past years, and still counting.. :)) this is really GOOD..
So after drying the sunblock, I got Sephora's liquid foundation, I tried it on tonight, it's light, as if you're not wearing anything, it does great on my asian skin, and yes, I LOVE it! it smoothed all the way to my neck!
This powder I got just about last year, as recommended, It does look good especially on my skin. It seems to blend in, mind you some powders make you feel like you plunged into a sea of baking powder..
This again is my new find, I love the lady, coz she gave me products of Sephora itself, and not of the other branded make ups. These aren't as expensive as the rest but really, I mean totally works best yet you don't have to spend so much for it. It has the Liquif-eye plus any eye shadow, then whalla!!.. instant eye shadow/liner.. :)
Another way to emphasize your cheeks would be to put a little bronzer and working it from the outer cheeks to the bottom, just slight, do not over do. It gives a little 3D on your face. Again, I got this last February. But, you can opt not to use this and go straight for the blusher..
To top it off, this Shiseido Illumizing satin blush is soo adorable. I got this when i was in Hong Kong last July and it was their summer collection. It really works well especially when you top it on the circles of your cheek, working your way to the outer, but not covering the bronzer.. of course..
This one again is my new find. I got 2 shades of these! Aside from looking extra-GLamorous, It SMELLS GOOD! Soo fruity, but not too sticky.. You know what I mean of course. I topped the darker shade on the inside of my lip, and over the top is the lighter shade, my my.. I look like a Million Dollars! ::) just like what you see in Magazines or what the celebs are wearing..
But remember, A face won't be beautiful if you don't WEAR a SMILE.. :)
Anyway, till next update.. I've been kinda busy.. all my sketches are pending and yes, I am taking it to the next level.. kisses and World Peace!!!

Coming back from Paris
It's almost everyone's dream to go to Paris and here I am on the foot of the Eiffel Tower, storming through the busy streets of the Opera where the ever infamous Galerie LaFayette is situated, with Printemps along side by side.. towering masses of rich architecture and lavish intricate details in decour, it sure emanates the rich culture left by the historical Kings & Queens, Artists and Doctors, you sure would have goosebumps all over. From paintings of the 15th century to the sculptures of the 700 A.D., to the grand musseo d' Louvre to the arc le' Triumph de Etoile, to the long Champ de' Elysees, designer shoppes all lined up to get in, especially the ever famous 4 story Louis Vuitton store.
The irony though is that people from all parts of the world would really want to have a Parisian experience, and what Paris is bashing would be the fashion of New York all over their store windows and show cases.. So all this time, even the center of fashion, has its Love for American Fashion.
All these, from people to food, to their clothing, daily routine and tradition, falling in Love, kissing and smooching just anywhere, the City of Lights has dawned on me, and I sure will go back.

MFJ (My Fashion Journal) Day 4
It's been five days and yes, these FIVE days have been quite analytical for me. I was torn between reviewing my basic accounting principles while I have this sketching to do. Well, got away with both and here are some of the ones I did.
sketch #9 is a 1950's inspired bathing dress turned evening gown of white with long drops zebra-like meets tear drops, but not so. I like it to seem like dalmatian from a far, but not round spots. Just SPoTS from afar.
sketch #10 is a summer outfit. A ballooned double fabric gathered with strapped crossback for the top. I like it in dirty white, with NEON pink on the piping of the upper part then to the straps. Pairing it with Sarong type pants with overlap wrap. To finish, these 1970's clogs inspire the heights for the season of sun, shine and sand!!! To give a little ethnic touch, I use these indigenous materials made of cocobeads in round, cylinder and flower patterns to match the outfit. whalla! thus came the season of SUMMER!

I finally landed an interview and yes! I have a final interview just scheduled tomorrow. Funny thing about life is that, oftentimes we try to escape the things we feel are not right for us, but it seems that they're all coming back and maybe just maybe, we have to accept that they are and must be part of our lives because it's what defines who we are, and who we become in the future.
Crazy how I shifted to Finance after being accepted with Accountancy in college. After graduating I landed an Administrative Position and guess what, I have to over-look the daily bookkeeping and accounting of the company. How hard could this get? Mind you that I came here to Doha recently, to join my lovingly dear husband, in search of the so-called, 'follow' your heart, and what's this position calling me to do in a GAS company? ACCOUNTANT. Yes, you read it right. no mistake. I'm starting to like it more, and have to eat the words I said before. That seems to rhyme.
Oh well, I'll just have to follow my heart here in this crazy mind when I put everything out here.
Today I was wearing this 1970's retro blouse with Japanese sleeves, and when I was about to take it off, I tried a little re-do of the blouse, and here is what I found out.
I sketched it since it's already in the laundry, I promise to have a photo taken by my love, and post it here, so you guys can do the same!!! this is LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Till then, I do hope I land for the temporary job. Its getting crazier when you have to stay Idle at home. At least, its one step closer to the corporate ladder! It's one of the previous loves of my life.. until then..

MFJ (My Fashion Journal) Day 3
Shorts is a daily staple. A woman's best friend next to her bfffsss.. and the loyal dog. It gives her a certain FEELING of confidence. A little flirt and thrive added, touch of femininity, one true bold spirit can surely strut this one:
sketch 7: 1960s cut shorts with lace on edge and pockets.
sketch 8: a Kaftan top made of beige linen with metallic edges with beads paired with boy shorts with full ruffles of organza. LOVE LOVE ruffles and laces!
Freedom. A woman with great inspirations, freedom to speak, share and live up to what we wear. Freedom of choice! Freedom to live and be HAPPY!
today is a silent day for me, only few words. but what do we know, oftentimes, LESS is MORE.
whew! 3 days, another 362 days to go! i hope to publish this someday when this is all finished. And maybe think of another project afterwards.
Happy happy happy! =)

MFJ (My fashion journal) Day 2
Fashion is an Art expressed in the most sophisticated and elegant manner yet effortless in many ways.
It's day 2 for me, sitting on the corner of our curved edge with window popping down seeing the streets, I feel like I'm in Manhattan, I wish!
Here's what I have today:
sketch 4: Inspired by the chain top in bronze, i coupled it with a matt gold pencil skirt, belted with a mustard yellow scarf turned belt tied around with rough texture and holes.
One must know how to take risks, by doing so, must face fear. What is fear anyway? There is no fear.
With immense faith, self-respect and the deep determination to do what one desires will brood success. We reap what we sow, so better yet start doing something today or wake up with nothing.
Again, my daily therapy. I become better everyday by looking at the outcomes, and what comes into my mind, I just believe we have to have this mind, body and spirit balance.
There are millions out there who are just like me, we just express it in different ways. For me sketching is my outlet to sanity!
It also hurts to see how many people suffer everyday, and only a few of the billions of people share what they have. I admire those who help, publicity or without, the more I applaud to their philanthropy. I'm sure their soul are full and satisfied with this life we have.
sketch 5: We all need a lil' sport and activities everyday... This is a light blue mini sports dress, with white edging and on waist with an emerald green scarf. note: I did not have the confessions of a shopaholic in my head, ok? :) just trying what fits
sketch 6: the blue one-sided layered dress in cobalt or royal blue over with puffed ruffled tulle or lace.
Blue. The color of royalty. There can only be one queen. Either at home, in school, at work, at the gym, anywhere. The rest either follow or rebel. It takes someone with strong personality to conquer her fears & quests, but it takes a loving heart to conquer lives and their love.
happy reading! kiss kiss. i hope u like my sketches, they just make me happy seeing what i can do, unfortunately, they wont we on runways yet or stores, but i can make sure the world sees it here.

MFJ (My Fashion Journal) Day 1
Last August 24, I started to draft my so-called "fashion journal." Just like the rest of you out there, I am a frustrated fashion designer, who, never had the chance to take up any fashion course, design or whatsoever. It is merely an expression of myself which I put into good use, I'd like to believe. I figured I can't become a famous fashion designer overnight, why not compile all the inspirations, daily reflections and output of my day on day by activities so to speak as a mother, a wife, daughter, sister, friend, niece, you name it, I'd like to shout out everything I wanna say.
i apologize for the images, they were just taken from my phone.
sketch one:
This is a Zingara style top made with dark purple satin with black lace ruffled from the collar.

I just turned 28 and I'm stuck with this piece of draft. All my crayons and materials flow all over. As I started to open one of my favorite Fashion Technical references by page one, the book is entitled 'Fashion Source Technical Design.' turning through every page just seem to pop out images after the other in my mind that I got too excited, mind you its 2 a.m and I'm still awake.
sketch 2: its the Little brown DRESS: lace tube dress overlaid with very thin flowy coat.

I'd like to take it as a day to day self contemplation. Again, I said this Fashion journal is not talking about clothes or how to dress up, it is merely a layout of my insights and yes, I get to express it in my designs.
sketch 3: the debutante dress in the shortest way way.. pink satin, with lace layered over tulle garnished with black satin belt with buttons on the side.
Here are the 3 firsts ... Happy inspiration!!!
